I'm excited to announce the launch of my new yarn line! After extensive research and testing I finally found a source in the US for small batch dying of wool rug yarn. It's 100% New Zealand wool, spun in India and dyed to my specifications in the US. There are no longer any yarn spinners in the US so finding a quality source hasn't been easy.
This yarn is perfect for tufting, punch needle, weaving and many other textile crafts.
It is skein dyed using 5 pound skeins and the dyeing process takes a minimum of 6 hours. Each spool is 1,000 yards, and the thickness of the yarn is 3/37. It's also moth-proofed to prevent flying critters from munching on your work.
I regularly add colors to my line, so check back often!

Overits lifetime, a sheep’s fleece will absorb approximately 30 kg of carbon dioxide.
Naturally biodegradable, choosing wool minimizes the amount of waste that sits in landfills. Wool biodegrades in weeks to less than 1 year depending on environmental conditions and this is due to it’s high nitrogen content.
Wool can absorb indoor contaminants, including formaldehyde, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide and locks them away in the fiber core.
Wool’s high nitrogen and water content makes it naturally flame resistant. Wool does not ignite easily and will self-extinguish. Should wool burn it does not melt while burning. Wool produces less smoke and toxic fumes during combustion than synthetic fibers, making it a far safer choice.
